Hearts to Gaza is a children’s art competition focused on sharing positive messages of hope and solidarity with Palestinian children in Gaza. The competition is organized by the Palestine Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the United States, EIN 47-5082577.
2. What Information We Collect
When you submit your child’s artwork, we collect:
Your child’s first name
Your child’s age
Your child’s city and country
A copy of your child’s artwork
Contact information for the parent or guardian making the submission (such as name and email address)
We do not knowingly collect last names of children or any unnecessary personal data.
3. How We Use This Information
We use the information you provide in the following ways:
To review and manage competition entries
To contact parents/guardians about the competition
To display selected artwork in campaign materials, including:
A printed or digital calendar
A published booklet
Social media posts
Event materials, exhibitions, or other public displays related to the Hearts to Gaza campaign
By submitting, you agree that your child’s artwork, first name, age, city and country may be publicly displayed in these materials.
We will never share your contact information publicly.
4. How We Store and Protect Information
We store personal information securely and only allow authorized team members to access it. We take reasonable steps to protect data from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or give your or your child’s personal information to third parties.
Artwork and basic child details (first name, age, country) may appear in publicly accessible campaign materials as described above.
6. Your Rights
You may contact us at any time to:
Ask to view the information we have about your child
Request corrections
Ask that your child’s artwork or details be removed from future publications or online displays (when possible)
Please note: materials already printed, published, or distributed may not be retractable.

Please read these Terms & Conditions before submitting an entry to the Hearts to Gaza children’s art competition organized by the Palestine Foundation. By submitting, you (the parent or legal guardian) agree on behalf of the child to the following:
1. Eligibility
Children aged 4 through 12 may participate.
A parent or legal guardian must submit the entry on the child’s behalf.
2. Submission Requirements
Artwork must be the child’s own original work.
Submissions must follow the theme: messages of love for Palestinian children in Gaza.
Entries must be submitted through the official submission form or email as instructed.
3. Use of Artwork
By submitting artwork, the parent/guardian grants the Palestine Foundation the non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to:
Reproduce
Display
Publish
Share
Adapt (e.g., resizing, layout formatting)
the artwork for any purpose related to the Hearts to Gaza campaign. This includes (but is not limited to):
A printed or digital calendar
A published booklet
Social media posts
Websites
Promotional or educational materials
Exhibitions or public presentations
4. Information Displayed
The parent/guardian authorizes Hearts to Gaza to publish the following information alongside the child’s artwork:
First name
Age
City and Country
We will not publish last names or contact information.
5. Copyright
Copyright of the original artwork remains with the child.
However, by submitting, you grant the Palestine Foundation permission to use the artwork as described above without further notice or compensation.
6. Selection of Winners
Judges will choose winning entries based on creativity, theme, and message.
Selected winners will have their artwork featured in the calendar and booklet.
The judges’ decisions are final.
7. No Payment
Participation is voluntary. No financial compensation is provided for entry, selection, or publication.
8. Withdrawal
You may request withdrawal of your child’s artwork from future uses at any time by contacting us.
Please note that materials already printed, published, or distributed may not be retractable.
9. Conduct
Entries that include offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content may be disqualified at our discretion.
10. Amendments
We may update these Terms & Conditions or the Privacy Policy as needed. Any changes will be posted on the official competition page.
