Hearts to Gaza

Postcards of Love to Palestinian Children

Join the Palestine Foundation for a children's art project and competition to send our love to Palestinian children in Gaza. This is open to all children between the ages of 4 and 12!

Hearts to Gaza raises awareness about the struggles of Palestinian children, and gets children worldwide involved in connecting through art and messages of hope. These postcards remind Palestinian kids -- especially those in Gaza -- that they are loved and not forgotten, while empowering kids to advocate creatively for human rights

About Hearts to Gaza

The Hearts to Gaza children's art competition is designed to both encourage children around the world to share their love with Palestinian children and to recognize their work through publication and distribution. We welcome submissions from children in three age categories:

  • Category 1: 4-6 years
  • Category 2: 7-9 years
  • Category 3: 10-12 years

Hearts to Gaza is a project of the Palestine Foundation, a U.S.-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on providing sustainable support to Palestinian development in the areas of arts, habitat, education and health.

Content Guidelines

The theme of Hearts to Gaza is: You are Loved, You are Not Alone

  • All submissions should be handmade on physical paper, rather than digitally created art. No AI, please.
  • All submissions should be on A4 or 8.5"x 11" paper, in portrait (vertical) mode.
  • It is free to submit children's work to the contest. With parents' permission, we suggest teachers, youth group leaders, and people in similar roles to collect submissions for Hearts to Gaza.
  • All submissions require a parent's permission. The Palestine Foundation may use all submissions in social media, the online gallery, publications, contest coverage and all other materials.

Some content suggestions and guidelines are:

  • Please use bright colors, smiles, hearts, sun, rainbows, flowers, doves, olive branches, kites, stars and similar images when designing your postcards. We want to send positive messages of love to Palestinian kids in Gaza.
  • Sample suggestions for kids include: "Draw what hope looks like," "Draw a symbol of friendship," "Show your favorite thing to play," "Draw a picture of a peaceful world," "Write or draw about what makes you happy."

Competition winners will be featured in interviews, social media, a website gallery, a booklet and a potential calendar featuring the Hearts to Gaza children's art.

  • Hearts to Gaza begins on November 20, 2025 -- International Children's Day.
  • Submissions close on April 5, 2026 - Palestinian Children's Day.
